Loose, unfitted coir mats from Onevillage.com are easy maintenance – can be vacuumed; taken outside and shaken; and even turned upside down for second life! (We have customers who occasionally hose them down in the garden!)
Although our coir mats mop up surface damp, they have a natural resistance to water so do not easily rot.
One Village coir floormats offer exceptionally long service – but the mats are not expensive, so when the time for renewal finally comes the replacement costs are very reasonable. Choose One Village Coir!

Do you need to cut your One Village coir?
One Village Coir comes only in the 5 sizes shown. We are not able to supply other sizes.
If you decide to cut these mats (for example, with a stanley knife), you will then be faced with an unfinished edge that will quickly fray if not bound over.
You could try binding your cut edge with heavy carpet tape, perhaps then facing with fabric sewn through the mat. Another method is to trap the cut edge under skirting. |

But we cannot vouch for the effectiveness of these methods. If possible, it is best not to cut because the original edges on our coir have been properly finished off on the loom when the product was made,
and left like that they will give the best longevity of service.
